I really did shop. I shopped and compared, and relentlessly critqued before I finally settled on the Haier. I wanted something that would fit in my office, but not get in the way. I needed something that would give me instant hot water, but that I could go to for just water anytime. I got everything I was looking for and more. The Haier is compact and fits perfectly in my office. The hot water is available instantly and is the perfect temperature. Dannon Spring Water (available in the grocery store) has a 1 gallon container with a mouth that fits the dispenser - so I don't even have to order water for it. The single best feature is the set of on/off switches that turn off the heater and separately the cooler. The cooler is somewhat noisy (a whirring fan) so I can turn it off for most of the day then start it up in the afternoon when I usually want cold water. Then I turn everything off before leaving at night and never worry about the safety of leaving it running.This product has been worth every penny!
